  1. New Tenant Coming to the Village – Welcome Decori

Comments Off on New Tenant Coming to the Village – Welcome Decori

Head to the Village at Briarcliff this spring for the grand opening of Decori, your gift shop for one-of-a-kind home accents, gifts, and holiday décor.

“Our service is providing our customers with a unique selection of gift, jewelry, and décor items,” says Ralph Liebetrau, owner of Decori. “We want them to be able to find the perfect gift for that special someone or for themselves.”

Liebetrau and co-owner Jim Scarpino opened the shop 13 years ago and have been located at various Kansas City shopping centers, including Downtown Parkville and the Country Club Plaza. Decori will be opening their new space at the Village at Briarcliff in late April or early May.

“We chose Briarcliff Village because we like the fact that most of the shops are locally owned,” shares Liebetrau. “We have found that people like the small, unique shop experience as opposed to the big box stores.”

Decori creates the ultimate shopping experience for customers old and new with its excellent customer service and curated collection of jewelry, Trapp candles, in-store made fudge, unique gifts, and the largest selection of Polish pottery in Kansas City. During the holiday season, Decori also features collectible Christmas décor and beautiful, handmade creations by local artists.

“We enjoy providing them [clients] with just what they are looking for, and maybe surprising them with something they didn’t expect to find,” says Liebetrau.

  3. New Year, New You

Comments Off on New Year, New You

The New Year is a perfect opportunity for self-reflection. It’s a time to celebrate successes and discover potential areas for improvement. Whether it’s getting organized, losing weight, or saving money–resolutions can be fun to make, but often difficult to maintain. While change may be tough, it is not impossible with the following steps.

    Plan Ahead

Instead of making general and unrealistic resolutions, set reasonable, specific, and measurable goals with a long-term strategy. While you may have an overall goal in mind, creating smaller objectives along the way will make goals more manageable and less discouraging.

    Get Moving

Do not wait to take action until you feel ready. Commit to your resolutions and act like the person you want to become. Instead of focusing on fears, excuses, and insecurities that will immobilize you, put one foot in front of the other and take that first step to achieving your goal.

    Stay on Track

Life’s tasks can make it difficult to keep resolutions. However, being mindful of your schedule and developing good habits that support your goals will help you reach them more easily. Your goals can be achieved when you strive to make them part of your daily routine.
