What's Happening in Your Village

It’s been less than a year since husband-and-wife pair Louis Guerrieri and Sarah Nelson opened Ombra, a small-plates restaurant in The Village at Briarcliff.

But already they’re working on a follow-up: Carne Diem, an upscale meat market and seafood counter, with an anticipated opening in June 2024 just down the road from Ombra at 4179 N. Mulberry Drive. (They’re taking over part of the former GreenAcres Market, which vacated the space earlier this year.)

Carne Diem will have a selection of grab-and-go options, plus cheese, wine, and liquor.
