What’s a piropo, you may ask? In Argentinian culture, it’s a flirtatious or poetic compliment to a woman.

At Piropos Restaurant, guests are appreciated and delighted with great service, food, and a warm atmosphere driven by the passion for the culture of Argentina. Since 2006, Piropos has provided The Village at Briarcliff guests with a taste of Argentina, right here in Kansas City.
Piropos is the creation of owner Cristina Worden and Head Chef Jesus Almos. The two combined their talents to create upscale food and service in a relaxing atmosphere, striving to offer guests a top-notch experience.
The restaurant serves delicious Argentinian grilled meats, seafood, fresh salads, and vegetables, and features a complimentary beverage list. Each year, Worden visits her native city of Buenos Aires to learn new recipes, menu items, and food trends. She also frequently visits Argentina’s wine country of Mendoza. Since an early age, Worden has been interested in Argentinian cuisine. She continually strives to provide the latest, quality dishes for her guests.
Almos brings extensive culinary experience to Piropos. For over 10 years, he has provided Piropos guests with fantastic meals and prior was employed at several KC restaurants including: Café Provance, Capital Grille, and Frondize’s. Almos left Piropos for over a year to operate his own small restaurant, Meat Market Lagos, where he became an expert in meat cutting and preparation. Three years ago, he returned to Piropos to help Worden develop and refine her Argentine recipes.
In addition to great leadership, Piropos has many experienced servers who have a wealth of dining knowledge. The servers greatly compliment the experience, making Piropos guests their number one priority.
Piropos features indoor and outdoor patio dining, with breathtaking skyline views. 
This month, Piropos added a beautiful event space called the Buenos Aires Room as well as a wedding chapel. The unique combination is convenient, flexible, and affordable for guests. The beautiful, hill-top views make for great photo opportunities, the central location and close proximity to the airport is very convenient for wedding guests, and, of course, the food and service will exceed expectations. No matter the event, big or small, the staff at Piropos will help create your vision for your special day.
